A 40-year-old woman has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a horror smash in Omagh

Tyrone man Paul Mills (49) was killed in the crash involving a Toyota Yaris and a Saab Vector on the Dromore Road between Omagh and the village of Dromore.

Mr Mills was described as being "very well known" in the area.

Police on Thursday charged a woman with dangerous driving, driving while unfit through drink or drugs, failing to stop where accident occurred causing injury, failing to report an accident whereby injury was caused and failing to remain where accident occurred causing injury.

She is due to appear before Omagh Magistrates' Court on Tuesday February 9.
