Woman given community service for £10,300 benefit fraud
A woman has been convicted at Belfast Magistrates' Court for fraudulently claiming £10,300 benefits.
Lorraine Coulter (54) of Ashmore Street, Belfast was given 100 hours community service while failing to declare she was living with her partner.
The fraud was uncovered following an investigation by the Department for Communities.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Department.
Suspected benefit fraud can be reported to the Department for Communities anonymously through the NI Direct website.
