Woman has jewellery stolen from her hands after thieves ask her for the time in west Belfast


A young woman has had rings stolen from her hand by two men as she checked her watch when they asked her for the time in west Belfast.

At around 9.30pm on Sunday September 13 the 22-year-old woman was walking from Pembrook Loop Road across the path towards Old Colin when two men approached her and asked for the time.

When she checked her watch, both males grabbed her by the wrists and one took rings off her hand.

The pair then ran off in the direction of Old Colin.

Both robbers are described as wearing dark clothing with their faces covered and both spoke with local accents.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone with any other information that could assist in the investigation.
