Woman injured after being attacked with hammer during Belfast burglary
A woman has been attacked with a hammer during a burglary at her Belfast home.
The woman, aged in her 40s, sustained an injury to her hand after being assaulted at her home in the Trillick Court area of east Belfast on Tuesday evening.
Detectives have charged a 36-year-old man with aggravated burglary with intent to commit grievous bodily harm, threats to kill, threats to damage property, common assault, in charge when unfit through drink or drugs and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
