Woman is charged with stealing £7k from store
A former employee of Dunnes Stores in the Foyleside shopping centre in Londonderry has appeared before the city's Magistrates Court charged with stealing over £7,000 from the company.
Hazel Gardiner (57), from Glenrandel in Eglinton, is accused of stealing £7,339 from Dunnes Stores Limited between June of last year and May of this year.
A defence solicitor told District Judge Barney McElholm that there might be an issue in terms of a venue for hearing the case — either in the Magistrates Court or before the Crown Court.
The defendant, who spoke only to confirm that she understood the charge, was released on bail until December 6.
As part of her bail conditions she's been ordered not to enter the Foyleside shopping centre.
