Woman killed after two car crash in Carrickfergus is named

A 53-year-old woman has died after a two car road crash in Carrickfergus.

She has been named as Heather Steele.

The smash happened on the Belfast Road at around 8pm on Wednesday night.

Two men involved in the crash were taken to hospital for injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

The Belfast Road has since reopened.

PSNI chief inspector Natalie Wilson appealed for information.

"I would appeal to anyone who saw either car in the area or who witnessed the RTC to contact the Colliaion Investigation Unit at Steeple police station or local police at Carrickfergus police station on the non emergency number 101."
