Woman killed in car crash named

A woman pedestrian who died following a road traffic collision in the Westland Street area of Londonderry has been named as Patricia Duffy.

The one-vehicle accident occurred at 10.30am on Saturday close to the junction of Westland Street and Rossville Street.

Ms Duffy was from Lisfannon Park and was a keen bowler.

The pensioner was returning from Mass at St Columba's Chapel, Longtower, which she attended daily, when the collision occurred.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
