Woman to face court over multi-million pound fraud at Tyrone company

A 41-year-old woman is due to appear before Dungannon Magistrates Court on Saturday charged with a multi-million pound fraud.

The woman has been charged with a number of fraud offences by detectives from the PSNI Economic Crime Unit.

She had been arrested in Fivemiletown last month.

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Wilson said an investigation was conducted after a Tyrone manufacturing company contacted police and expressed concerns about its accounts.

"After a series of interviews, she has been charged to appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court on 1 July with fraud by abuse of position, concealing criminal property and making, having and supplying articles for use in fraud," he said.

It is understood the amount involved runs into seven figures.
