Woman who stole from Belfast airport shop 'could face jail'
An employee who took off with almost £600 of perfume and make-up from a duty-free shop at Belfast International Airport has been warned the case meets the criteria for jail.
Suzanne McCormick (50), of Knockcairn Lodge in Dundrod, Co Antrim, admitted the single count of theft at Antrim Magistrates' Court yesterday. In July this year she stole items worth £573.33 from Aelia Duty Free Shop. A prosecutor said the defendant was a member of staff at the store and it was being treated as a "breach of trust". Adjourning the case, District Judge Liam McNally said he needed a pre-sentence report. He added he would take into account the defendant's clear record.
