Woman's attacker admits to pepper spray charge
A man who admitted repeatedly assaulting a woman has confessed to having illegal pepper spray.
Last week Albert Nelson (32) pleaded guilty to six counts of common assault against a woman, two of threatening to kill, falsely imprisoning, causing her actual bodily harm and possessing class B cannabis, all committed between November 30, 2015 and August 24, 2017.
Prosecuting lawyer Samuel Magee asked for 14 other counts to be left on the books.
Yesterday Nelson, from Main Street in Gortin, Co Tyrone, pleaded guilty to having a prohibited weapon - pepper spray - on August 24, 2016.
He will be sentenced on July 5.
