Women pulled from car by gang of hijackers

Two women have been pulled from a car by a gang of hijackers in Co Antrim.

Their vehicle, which had been parked in a lay-by, was hit from behind and both women were dragged out by a number of men who fled in their Peugeot 208.

The attack happened shortly before 10pm on Tuesday in the Bensons Road area of Lisburn.

The women suffered minor injuries and shock.

Detective Sergeant James Johnston from the Police Service of Northern Ireland has appealed for any witnesses to contact police at Lisburn on 101.
