Young girl rushed to hospital after being hit by car in Larne
A young girl was rushed to hospital on Wednesday afternoon after being hit by a car in Larne.
Two rapid response paramedics, an ambulance officer and an A&E crew, as well as the charity air ambulance were sent to the scene shortly before 3.30pm when the girl, understood to be 12 years old, was hit.
She was taken by ambulance to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children with non-life-threatening injuries, understood to include a bump to the head and superficial cuts to her knees.
Police closed the Victoria Road between Agnew Street and Gloucester Avenue following the collision and local diversions were put in place.
