Youth (17) arrested in connection with murder of homeless Polish man released

Police have released a teenager arrested in connection with the murder of a Polish man in Co Londonderry.

Piotr Krowka's body was discovered on Tuesday April 3 in Maghera at a property on the Glen Road.

The 36-year-old had been living in the town for a number of years and had been sleeping rough at the derelict property, known locally as the former Parochial house.

A 17-year-old arrested in Maghera on Tuesday morning has been released from police custody.

Detectives are asking anyone with dash cam footage of Maghera town area on March 31 to contact the incident room at Maghera PSNI station by calling 101, and quoting reference number 919 of 03/04/2018.

Members of the public can also call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A 19-year-old man was earlier arrested as part of the investigation into Piotr Krowka's murder.
