Police hunt street robbery gang

Detectives are hunting three men who stole a substantial sum of cash during a street robbery on the outskirts of Belfast.

The gang stole a rucksack from a man as he entered the Poleglass estate at around 12.40pm yesterday.

They made off in a silver Skoda Octavia car which had an Eagle Taxis sign on top and the letters ‘RAM’ written on the side.

One of the robbers is described as being in his early 30s, of slim to medium build, about 5ft 6ins tall and clean shaven.

He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a blue hooded top, white trainers and a brown baseball cap.

A second man is believed to be in his 40s, about 5ft 5ins tall with light hair and of heavy build.

He was dressed in a red T-shirt, blue jeans and jacket.

The third robber was thought to be in his 30s, of heavy build and was wearing a dark tracksuit and black top.
