DUP quiz David Cameron on care for injured troops

David Cameron revealed he believes the NHS “has not woken up yet” to the demands of coping with injured troops after being quizzed on military care by the DUP.

During his first Prime Minister’s Questions, Mr Cameron said he had tasked the Secretaries of State for Defence and Health with drawing up plans to give soldiers maimed in Afghanistan and Iraq the lifetime of medical help they would need.

It followed questioning by DUP Westminster leader Nigel Dodds on what plans the Government had to give proper support to forces personnel, not just during active service but also in civilian life.
