Justice post talks loom
Partyleaders meet next week to attempt to prevent a political crisis developing over the reappointment of a Justice Minister.
Failure to decide on the mechanism to choose the minister could mean the deal which saw Alliance leader David Ford take on the post falling apart.
But First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness are confident a row can be averted.
Mr Robinson told the Assembly just before the Christmas recess: “I hope that the matter can be resolved fairly quickly and painlessly. It seems that the positions that most people recognise are manageable.”
