Baby who was sitting in stolen car returned unharmed to parents

A baby girl has been returned unharmed to her parents after the car she was in was stolen.

Gardai said the infant, understood to be one-year-old, was in the back of a car which was taken from outside a house in the Baldoyle area of north Dublin.

The theft took place at about 7.30am.

Gardai said the car was found 45 minutes later in the Clongriffin area.

"The infant was unharmed during this incident. No arrests have been made," a Garda spokesman said.

Officers appealed for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them at Raheny station or on any official contact line.
