Body of missing fisherman found

The body of a fisherman missing from a trawler off Cork has been recovered.

The man, in his 40s and believed to be from Clogherhead, Co Louth, disappeared on Monday evening while the boat was in Castletownbere.

It is understood the vessel with several crew had pulled in to the harbour overnight to take on supplies.

Local RNLI crews searched the fishing port, with a diving team also taking to the water.

His remains were found by a crew from Castletownbere RNLI at about 1.30pm.
