Body of woman found on rocks at Dublin bay

Gardai are appealing for help to identify a woman whose body was found washed up on rocks in Co Dublin.

She was discovered at Scotsmans Bay, Sandycove, on Thursday.

A post-mortem examination has confirmed the woman drowned.

She is described as being 50 to 60 years old, between 5ft 4ins and 5ft 6ins, with red hair. She was wearing a purple coat, light blue fleece, a red shirt, dark purple jeans, navy socks and brown boots, size 40.

Her fingernails were painted purple.

Gardai do not believe the body was in the water for a long period.
