Cannabis farm raided in Co Meath

A large-scale cannabis-growing factory housing 1,720 plants worth 680,000 euro has been uncovered by gardai.

Five men were arrested when officers raided the large shed on a rural farm in Bective, Co Meath.

Three of the suspects are being questioned in Kells, with two in Navan garda station.

They are all Irish nationals and are aged 32, 37, 40, 43 and 60.

Officers from the Garda National Drugs Unit and local units in Meath were involved in the operation.
