Cannabis growing house uncovered

A cannabis growing house with more than 3,000 plants has been uncovered by gardai.

The seizure - which has an estimated street value of 400,000 euro - was discovered in an isolated house in a rural location in Crefogue, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford.

It is understood the landlord of the rented property raised suspicions over the size of utility bills.

Heating and irrigation equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis plants was also found during the planned search on Wednesday afternoon.

A Garda spokesman said no arrests have been made.
