Cannabis haul discovered at Dublin Port trailer

Nineteen kilos (42lbs) of herbal cannabis have been found in a trailer at Dublin Port.

The drugs, estimated to be worth about 380,000 euro, were discovered by Customs officers with the help of sniffer dog Meg when a vehicle came off a ferry from Rotterdam on Sunday.

The seizure was made as part of an intelligence-led operation with the Garda drugs squad, and investigations are continuing.
