Confirmed: Republic's abortion referendum passes - Yes, 66.4%, No 33.6%

Voters in the Republic have voted to repeal the Eighth Amendment of the Irish Constitution.

A high turnout across the country led to a growing con­fidence among those in favour of repealing the Eighth Amend­ment.

The final vote passed by a margin of 66.4% voting Yes and 33.6% voting No.
