Counterfeit goods seized by gardai

More than 100,000 euro worth of counterfeit designer clothes, shoes and sunglasses have been seized by gardai.

Detectives discovered the haul during a raid on house in Cabra, north Dublin, on Thursday.

A Garda spokeswoman said no arrests have been made to date and enquiries are ongoing.

Industrial embroidery, a labelling machine, a vacuum packaging machine and other unbranded clothing products were also seized during the search.

The operation was carried out by gardai from the Intellectual Property Crime Unit attached to the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Gardai have appealed to anyone with information about the production, supply, or sale of counterfeit products to come forward.
