Dublin shooting: Man (27) injured in Shancastle Drive

A man was shot in an incident at Shancastle Drive in Clondalkin, Dublin on Monday night.

The man was struck in the arm and leg. He is understood to be 27 years of age.

Emergency services received the call at 8.56pm.

At least two men were involved in the attack and they made their getaway in a car.

Sources said it was not connected to the ongoing Hutch/Kinahan feud and more likely to be a "localised dispute".

The victim was taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The scene is currently sealed off pending a Garda Forensic Examination.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Ronanstown Garda Station on 01-666 7700, the Garda Confidential Line 1 800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
