Father and son stabbed at party

A teenager celebrating his 18th birthday and his father were among five men stabbed in a house brawl.

A sixth man suffered serious head injured when the fight broke out in the early hours of the morning.

The alarm was raised at about 4.20am at an address at Deer Park Avenue, Tallaght, Dublin.

Gardai said five men - three in their late teens, one in his 20s and one in his 40s - were taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital with suspected stab wounds.

The sixth man, aged in his 30s, was taken to St James Hospital with head injuries.

The scene was preserved for a technical examination while gardai carried out door to door enquiries in the area.

It is understood while some of the injured remain in a serious but stable condition, detectives have been able to interview some of those involved.

No arrests have been made.

Gardai have appealed for information.
