Fine Gael's Tom Neville takes heart from movie role
An Irish politician is set to star in his first movie as a man who spirals into a world of sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll after he gets ditched at the altar.
The film's premiere screening takes place at the Rathkeale this Saturday night featuring Fine Gael councillor Tom Neville (40) in the lead role.
The movie 'Colour of Forgiveness' will be entered in international film festivals and will be subtitled in Spanish and Polish.
"It's about a couple who fall out at their wedding, and the character I play gets ditched at the altar. I'm excited about it, and I can't wait to see the reaction to it locally," he said.
Mr Neville, a son of outgoing TD , Dan Neville, said he got some "raised eyebrows" at his acting.
