Five arrested over organised crime
Five men have been arrested as part of a crackdown on organised crime in the capital.
Gardai carried out six searches on properties in Dublin and Kildare.
During the raids the men, who range in age from 28 to 77, were arrested and taken to Dun Laoghaire, Blackrock and Dundrum Garda stations.
They can be held for up to 72 hours under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
The arrests were made by officers from the Organised Crime Unit and gardai from the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) Eastern Division as part of an ongoing operation into organised crime in Dublin.
