Former OCI President Pat Hickey will have his passport returned and be allowed return home, a court in Brazil has decided.
Mr Hickey has been forced to remain in the country since the Summer's Olympics after being arrested in relation to a ticketing selling controversy.
However a court today decided Mr Hickey should be allowed return home to receive treatment for a health problem.
Mr Hickey, 71, must pay a bond to the court of €410,000.
Mr Hickey is facing charges related to an investigation into alleged ticket touting at Rio 2016. He has denied all allegations made against him.
