Four killed in road crash

Four people have been killed in a road crash in Co Wexford.

The three males and a female were the occupants of a car that was involved in a collision with a lorry on the N25 near New Ross.

The crash happened at about 6.30pm on Monday. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the lorry and a passenger were uninjured.

The road has been closed for a forensic examination and is not expected to reopen until at least lunchtime on Tuesday.

Gardai have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
