GAA star offering reward for return of stolen medals
GAA footballing legend Graham Geraghty is offering a large reward for the return of medals stolen in a burglary at his home.
Geraghty fears the burglars, who struck while his three children were upstairs in the family home in Athboy, Co Meath, on Friday night are planning to sell his "lifetime of memories" for their scrap gold value.
In a Facebook post his wife Amanda wrote: "A lifetime of memories taken. We will gladly give you what the cash for gold shops will give you for them."
Geraghty, who captained Meath to All-Ireland success in 1999, said that in total eight medals from his career were taken, including three Leinster senior championship medals.
