Gardai recover drugs worth 800,000 euro in series of raids

Drugs worth about 800,000 euro have been recovered in a series of raids.

Gardai said two cars were stopped and searched on the M50 motorway near Dublin on Monday and cannabis herb with an estimated street value of 80,000 euro was seized along with 5,000 euro in cash.

Two men, aged 47 and 58, were arrested.

Follow up searches were later carried out at an apartment complex on the Navan Road in Dublin where gardai found crystallised MDMA and cannabis resin and herb with an estimated street value of 720,000 euro.

Gardai said the drugs were to undergo further analysis.
