Husband is quizzed on mum death
The estranged husband of a Belfast mother-of-four shot dead at her home was being questioned by gardai last night after he was released from hospital.
Suspect Oliver Kierans (56) was released from care at a psychiatric unit in Cavan at 6pm as the investigation continued into the murder.
Mrs Kierans was found at the former marital home in Bailieborough last Thursday. Mr Kierans was arrested nine hours later at a pub siege in the town.
Parish priest Father Oliver O'Reilly said Patricia had been living in fear for a long time, but recently she had got her life together again.
The body of Ms Kierans will be released to her children Shane (30), Oliver (29), Julia (28) and Gerard (27) today.
