Counting is under way in four by-elections in Ireland.

The poll will replace deputies elected to the European Parliament in May.

Results are expected later on Saturday evening.

The areas covered are Cork North-Central, Dublin Fingal, Wexford and Dublin Mid-West.

The results could carry relatively more significance since the government is a minority one and it faces a vote of no-confidence next week in housing minister Eoghan Murphy.
