Irish champion greyhound Clonbrien Hero tests positive for cocaine
A champion greyhound, which won one of Ireland's top races, has tested positive for cocaine.
Clonbrien Hero returned a positive test for Benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine, on three separate occasions.
One of these tests was after it won the Irish Laurels final at Cork in July.
The dog has been banned from racing until it is proved to be clear and the Irish Greyhound Board has withheld prize money.
The dog's trainer Graham Holland said the traces must have been ingested accidentally.
