Man arrested after mother-of-six and locksmith shot dead outside house

A man in his 30s has been arrested over the double murder of a mother-of-six and a young man.

Antoinette Corbally, 48, was shot several times at the front of her home on Balbutcher Drive in Ballymun on August 16 as the intended target, her convicted gunman brother Derek Devoy, fled the scene.

The second victim, 30-year-old locksmith Clinton Shannon, from Swords, Dublin, was hit by a number of bullets as he sat in a car on the street outside the house.

Gardai said the arrested man was detained on Monday but the information was only being released five days later.

He can be held for seven days.

Gardai believe the gangland killers lay in wait for more than an hour before launching their deadly attack.
