Man 'critical' after gun attack

A man in his fifties has been taken to hospital after a gun attack.

The shooting happened at Rowlagh Park, Clondalkin, west Dublin, gardai said.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital, where he is believed to be in a critical condition.

A Garda spokeswoman said: " The scene has been sealed off pending a full technical examination."

Investigators are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.

They are also seeking information about a dark coloured car that left the scene in the direction of Neilstown Road.
