Man dies after being involved in Tipperary road accident

Gardai are appealing for witnesses.

A man involved in a road accident in Tipperary on Friday has died.

Gardai in Clonmel are investigating the fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Gladstone St, at around 3pm on August 16.

The car’s driver, a woman in her early seventies, struck a pole which then hit the male pedestrian, aged in his early fifties, on the street.

The injured man was removed from the scene and taken to the South Tipperary Hospital.

He died in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Garda Collision Investigators have concluded their investigations at the scene, and the road has now reopened.
