Man dies after stabbing in Limerick

Detectives are investigating the death of a man found with serious injuries outside a house in Limerick.

The 43-year-old was discovered at Lenihan Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston.

It is believed he had been stabbed .

The man was taken by ambulance to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardai at Roxboro Road said they are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death.

The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination and the State pathologist has been asked to attend.

Investigators have appealed for witnesses.
