Man dies in Co Cork road accident

A man has died after a road accident in Co Cork on Sunday.
The victim, in his 30s, was the sole occupant of the car.
It is understood the car he was driving left the road and struck a fence.
Gardai attended shortly after 7am at the Old Dublin Road near junction 18 off the M8.

Garda forensic collision investigators examined the car and the crash site.
The man, who has yet to be formally identified, was removed to the mortuary at Cork University Hospital and the local coroner has been notified.
Investigating Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Meanwhile, gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the N69 Limerick between Glinn and Tarbert shortly after midnight on Sunday.
A motorcyclist, a man aged in his fifties, collided with a car and another motorcyclist, a man aged in his twenties.
The man aged in his fifties has been pronounced dead at the scene, the other man was taken to Limerick University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
