
A 62-year-old man died and his sister was left fighting for her life after an early morning house fire.
The blaze broke out at their home in the townland of Munnia, Killoscully, Co Tipperary, at around 5am on Sunday.
The 64-year-old woman was rushed to Limerick Regional Hospital and later transferred to Cork University Hospital, where she remains in a critical condition.
Fire crews and scenes of crime officers are investigating the cause of the blaze, which is not believed to be suspicious or malicious.
