Man extradited for allegedly murdering pensioner in 2017
A 45-year-old Romanian national has been held on suspicion of killing Rose Hanrahan, 78, in Co Limerick.
A man has extradited to Ireland on suspicion of the 2017 murder of Co Limerick pensioner Rose Hanrahan.
The 45-year-old Romanian national was arrested at Dublin Airport on Thursday afternoon for questioning over the death of the 78-year-old.
He was extradited from the UK.
Ms Hanrahan died at her home on the New Road in Thomondgate, Co Limerick in December 2017.
The 45-year-old is due to appear before a special court in Limerick on Thursday evening.
