Man found with head injury at Luas stop dead on arrival at hospital

Gardai have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body in Ranelagh, Dublin.

The 22-year-old was found unresponsive with a head injury outside the Luas stop on Ranelagh Road at 4.40am.

He was taken by ambulance to St James's Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

CCTV footage is being examined and a post-mortem examination carried out in a bid to determine the circumstances surrounding the man's death.

The scene has also been preserved for technical examination and the Coroner has been notified.
