Man injured in Dublin pub shooting

A man is recovering in hospital after being shot in the leg at a pub in north Dublin.

The gun attack happened at Martin's Pub in Clonshaugh, Priorswood, Coolock, shortly before 6pm on Sunday.

It is understood the victim was shot a number of times in the legs. He has been taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

One witness outside the pub said he saw lots of people scatter before two men fled in Peugeot 206, which he claimed was later found burnt out in a nearby estate.

The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination and gardai have appealed for information.
