Man released without charge in Cork city murder inquiry

A man arrested over the murder of a mother-of-three has been released without charge.

The man, aged in his 40s, was detained after Nicola Collins, aged in her late 30s, was found dead in a flat on Popham's Road in Farranree, Cork city, in the early hours of Monday.

Gardai said detectives would send a file on the case to the Director of Public Prosecutions to determine the next step.

Officers reissued an appeal for any witnesses to come forward.
