It was a day to remember for Republic of Ireland manager Martin O'Neill.

The former Northern Ireland captain dropped in and had a chat with some of the children at the Jack & Jill Children's Foundation at Johnstown Manor in Naas, Co Kildare.

The Kilrea man and John Delaney, CEO of the Football Association of Ireland, met Jack & Jill families and nurses during their visit.

From its headquarters, Jack & Jill provides a nationwide home nursing care and respite service to 355 children with severe to profound neurodevelopmental delay currently under its wing.

The charity also provides end of life care to children under the age of five. They enjoyed their time with some of the children and their families as the charity gets ready for Jack & Jill Week running from October 7 to 13.
