Motorcyclist dies in crash in Co Limerick

The crash happened when two motorbikes and a van collided at around 5pm on Saturday evening outside Dromkeen.

A man has died after a crash between two motorcycles and a van in Co Limerick.

The motorcyclist, a man in his early 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident happened at around 5.00pm on Saturday outside Dromkeen.

A post-mortem is to be carried out at a later date at University Hospital Limerick.

Another male motorcyclist was also taken to University Hospital Limerick and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gardai are appealing for anyone with information, particularly any road users who may have camera footage travelling on the N24 between Limerick and Tipperary before 5.00pm, to come forward.
