Murder probe launched after man shot dead in Dublin

The killing is believed to be the 14th murder in the ongoing Hutch/Kinahan feud.

Gardai have launched a murder investigation after a 27-year-old man was shot dead in Dublin.

The shooting is believed to be related to the ongoing feud between the Hutch and Kinahan crime gangs.

The Garda said the man was shot at Bridgeview halting site in Ronanstown, west Dublin, at 3pm on Saturday.

He was sitting in a car when a gunman opened fire. 

The state pathologist and members of the Garda Technical Bureau were asked to attend the scene of the murder.

A second crime scene has been preserved at Crag Avenue where a car was located on fire a short time after the incident.
