Pair quizzed over Meath stab death

Two men are being questioned after a 25-year-old was stabbed to death in Co Meath.

The victim was discovered in a house in Rathmolyon, Enfield, when gardai were called to the scene at around 1am.

He was rushed to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, where he died in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Two men, aged 29 and 59, were arrested at the scene and are being detained at Navan and Trim garda stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

A garda spokesman said the scene has been preserved for a technical examination and the office of the state pathologist has been notified.
