Pipe bombs made safe in Dublin

Three pipe bombs were been made safe in Dublin on Friday morning.

The Army bomb squad was deployed to an area of waste ground off the Ratoath Road in Finglas after the explosives were discovered.

The team spent an hour on scene before making the devices safe and removing them to military base for tests.

This is the 166th call out for bomb disposal teams so far this year with 30 viable improvised explosive devices made safe.
